Dubbed State of Syn, the future-set web short project follows a “synthetic” with the ability to hack technology. The story follows Jewel Staite (Dr. Jennifer Keller on Atlantis) through a web of stylized action and political intrigue. In addition to Staite, the cast is rounded out by none other than David Hewlett (Atlantis’ Rodney McKay) and Rainbow Francks (Atlantis’ Aiden Ford). But that’s not all. The opening narration is provided by Atlantis alum Torri Higginson (aka former expedition leader Elizabeth Weir).

Got a few notes from people wondering where I've been. Sorry, just insanely busy these last few... Months? Omg, I haven't updated my livejournal since mid September? yikes.

Anyway, um, I really don't have anything to say. Life is busy with work, and I really haven't had time to do any good writing or reading lately. Only tv I must watch is Sleepy Hollow. Shield turned out to be a disappointment. Catching Fire was AWESOME! Doctor Who 50th stole my heart.

What's up with you guys? I haven't checked lj in ages, so presume I know nothing.

I have decided, in an endeavor to make my livejournal seem not dead, I am going to be posting about fandom again. Thusly, I shall be writing down my deepest most profound thoughts on shows as they premiere.

Sleepy Hollow: LOVED IT. SHIP IT. Want more.

Korra: That was anticlimatic. Like, seriously, after over a year of waiting, I was expecting more? But okay, fine. At least I got some good humor and Korra being her pugnacious self. (Seriously, give me some love for using the word pugnacious in a sentence.) I just wanted some better action? Or something moving? I don't know. Bare chested Mako? Instead we got bare-chested Korra's dad, which like - okay. I guess.

These are my profound thoughts. You may have them for free.

You know, when I'm feeling depressed about humanity and all the shit it does, something that reminds about their awesomeness? The fact that thirty people (or thereabouts) fasted for me during Ramadan. That still makes me feel like humanity just might worth be every bit the hassle.

Okay, so it's been a week and I'm already sick of the Ben Affleck hate. Look, I'm not too excited about him being Batman either, but I will not proceed to bash the guy senseless before he's even donned the cape. If he sucks, I'll get plenty of opportunity to do that afterwards. At that point, by all means, proceed with the bashing. But until then, I'm gonna hold my tongue and wait for judgment. After all, I recall a lot of negative speculation once upon a time about Heath Ledger as Joker and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle. And we all know how those performances turned out. Granted, it's no longer a Nolan director, but guys. Just remember to breathe. I love Batman more than words can describe. If this one sucks, I'm sure they'll be eight more reboot movies to try again long before a Wonder Woman movie is made.

I turn to the internet for massive help.

Here's the stitch. I have expensive meds. I can't afford them right now. I know that people take a trip up north to Canada and get their scribes over there. There's even a bunch of scenes in "Love & Other Drugs" where they take a bus full of people with Parkinson's disease across the border for the weekend to stock up on drugs. I know it happens.

I just can't seem to get a fix on how. Google is giving me conflicting info. I can make it up to Canada no problem, and I've got awesome Canadian flisters that will let me crash on their couch for the weekend. Do I need to take my US prescription there? Do I trade in my US Prescription with a Canadian one by seeing a doc up there? (In which case, god, do I need to make a doc's appointment?) Because I looked, my sucky health insurance doesn't cover in canada. Is it in all ways highly illegal? BECAUSE, WOW, GETTING CONFLICTING INFORMAITON HERE. I'm sure I could figure it out eventually, but I've just reached my limit with reading about medical stuff and I'm just beating my head against a keyboard now.

Help? Anybody? I'm so beyond discretion at this point and just shouting it from the rooftops.
